  • BEHIND THE BRAND

The Wild Bee Co. supports PEOPLE, PLANET and POLLINATORS.

My name is Moni. I am a beekeeper, illustrator and avid practitioner of natural alchemy. My work and offerings interweave my love for bees, plants and Mama Earth. Holistically connecting with the bees and interacting with nature on a deeper level has allowed me to appreciate, understand and share the gifts of our planet.

From our funky tie-dye beeswax candles to our herbal honey remedies, we hope to help everyone cultivate a more meaningful, magical relationship with Mama Earth, through our crafted offerings.

A percentage of our sales go to our Bee Sisters in East Africa, helping support income generation for women beekeepers and their families.

    Moni - Apiarist . Artist . Alchemist.

  • Behind the brand

    The Apiarist.

Our bees are lovingly cared for in apiaries located in wild flower gardens, parks and rooftops located around London and Surrey. We monitor every single beehive closely. We dedicate a lot of time and energy to the welfare of our pollinator friends so we can harvest our honey in a sustainable and responsible way.

By respectfully sharing the magic of the hive and planet, we can help reverse declining Honey Bee populations and help conserve the UK’s threatened pollinators.

  • Behind the brand

    The Artist.

My bee and herbal inspired artwork started as an educational tool for myself but I saw they also created community and a connection to the planet.

Tending to the bees and herbalism are very creative processes. They both have a very objective, scientific side but there’s also a very intuitive and interconnected side of things - and in a lot of ways, illustrating and wildcrafting is the same.

  • Behind the brand

    The Alchemist.

Having had the opportunity to work, live and travel around the world, I gained a wider understanding of how nature is traditionally utilised holistically. I decided to make my own rituals and remedies from knowledge gained on my travels and rooted in the history of my ancestors. I delved deep into the alchemy of bees. I researched, sourced, grew and foraged ingredients, respectfully from our Earth.

Working with plants and bees simultaneously can touch many different facets of your life. There’s the spiritual quality and the medicinal quality, and both inspire me greatly.

    Spring Things

    By Monisha Dajee

The first time I grounded myself with Mama Earth, foraged my first Parasol Mushroom, collected a swarm of bees, brewed my first cup of nettle tea, fermented my first batch of wild garlic kimchi - it ignited that inner child feeling of ‘play’.

The Truth About the Great Taste Awards – My honest experience

    By Monisha Dajee

This blog may ruffle a few feathers - in particular ‘The Guild’. However, the point of writing this is not to throw shade at anyone. Truthfully, I appreciate what they represent and the prestige they hold in the food industry. It took them time and dedication to build an influential platform that essentially helps small businesses like mine, scream and shout about how good their products are. However, I need food lovers and producers to hear this: winning (or not winning) this award does not define you or your product’s worth. Not even a little.

FAQ

  • That’s nature's way of winking at you! It means your honey is 100% pure, untouched by sneaky additives or processed sugars. Those tiny crystals are just the natural sugars doing their thing, and honestly, it's a sign you've got the real deal.

But if you prefer your honey silky smooth and runny, there's a simple trick to 'abracadabra' those crystals away. Pop your jar into a bowl of warm (not too hot!) water. Repeat this until your honey’s back to its golden, oozy self—perfect for drizzling on toast, swirling in tea, or letting it cascade over pancakes! Personally I just pop my jars on my radiator! Just be careful not to overheat it (never over 45 degrees), so you can keep all that delicious, raw goodness intact.

    And voilà, liquid gold again!

  • Honey is safe for children over 12 months.

  • With the UK’s limited organic farmland, getting honey certified as organic here is like trying to chase a butterfly in a windstorm - super tricky! To our knowledge, no UK produced honey has the organic stamp of approval. But don’t fret! We harvest our honey from untouched places like national parks and green spaces. So while it might not have the organic badge, it’s still nature’s purest gold straight from the hive!

  • Our honey is harvested straight from our own apiaries located around London and Surrey. We also offer a delicious heather honey from one of our beekeeping friends in Scotland - it’s one of my absolute favourites, and I couldn’t resist sharing it! We work closely with our wonderful beekeeping community, carefully sourcing honey based on unique flavour profiles. Every jar of honey is a reflection of the flowers in the vicinity, making each batch unique. You could say - 'LIMITED EDITION!'

SINGLE SOURCE ORIGIN - Each jar can always be traced directly to each location and apiary. Our slow, mindful beekeeping methods have allowed us to create a distinctive flavourful range of pure, natural honeys for everyone to enjoy.

  • To keep all the good vibes in your honey, don’t mix it into boiling water. Use warm water, around 40-50°C. So go easy and let it dissolve into your drink without losing any of its natural magic!

  • Since honey is a by-product of bees, it's not considered strictly vegan, but it is vegetarian-friendly. That said, all my vegan friends still enjoy my honey after hearing our story. We produce everything in the most ethical and sustainable way possible, and our top priority is always the wellbeing of our bee babies. So while it’s not technically vegan, many choose it because they know how much we love our bees and their natural environment!

  • Yep! Every single one! I fell in love with the craft of candle making a decade ago. All of our candles are crafted with care in our Wax Atelier, located right above our honey and beeswax processing studio. Each creation is designed by me and infused with inspiration from Mama Earth. From psychedelic rainbow mushrooms to funky tie-dye wavy pillars, we love playing with wax alchemy. Each candle is hand poured and individually coloured using a specific technique, making each piece unique in its design.

  • Great question! Our candles are made from a 100% natural wax blend which consists mostly of beeswax and soy wax and an organic cotton wick.
