THE SANCTUARY

As the leaves turn auburn, Fall is fast approaching with Winter right behind her. There will be inevitable miserable, gloomy days, typical of UK weather. There will also be an influx of captivating transitioning colours soon to come, filling me with warmth.

A herb that deserves the spotlight and one that I have so much respect for. It will always hold a place in my sanctuary of herbs and I will definitely be further exploring its holistic multitude of uses into my everyday wellbeing.

Our passionflora opened up yesterday to reveal its hypnotic, beautiful interior. Passion flowers are an intricate kaleidoscope of enticing colour.

Since moving back home, the magickal growth in my sanctuary has strengthened my understanding of patience, humility and our connection to the earth. Most importantly, it has opened a new realm of playfulness and creativity to explore.

Having worked abroad for the past few years, I have been back home in London for nearly 5 months. Of late, I feel that the garden and I have settled into a gentle rhythm.

My parents and my ancestors are from the teeny tiny Island of Mauritius. The seeds I used to grow this cucumber are from Mauritius and to me this plant represents the preservation and legacy of my plant ancestors.
